Food and Chemical Sensitivity/Intolerance Test

What is food sensitivity?

The inability to tolerate foods and environmental factors, also known as sensitivity or intolerance, induces chronic activation of the innate immune system and gives rise to inflammatory processes, which includes excess production of reactive oxygen species and the release of preformed and newly synthesized mediators of inflammation.

This inflammation has been linked to countless chronic conditions, including: digestive disorders, migraines, obesity, chronic fatigue, ADD, aching joints, skin disorders, arthritis and many more.

How does food sensitivity differ from classic food allergies?

True food allergies refer to foods that trigger the immune system to acutely produce massive amounts of the chemical histamine that leads to anaphylaxis. This potentially fatal condition causes the throat and esophagus to swell, cutting off air from the lungs, or may simply cause hives, skin rashes, and other non-life-threatening reactions.

Micronutrient Testing from SpectraCell Laboratories

Overwhelming scientific evidence confirms that vitamin deficiencies are associated with disease processes and the overall condition of one’s health. Vitamin, mineral and antioxidant deficiencies have been shown to impair immune function and contribute to chronic degenerative processes such as arthritis, cancer, Alzheimer’s, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. This body of research has been reaffirmed by the Journal of the American Medical Association (June 19, 2002-Vol 287, No 23).

The micronutrient tests measures how micronutrients are actually functioning within your white blood cells. These tests allow nutritional assessment for a broad variety of clinical conditions including arthritis, cancer, cardiovascular risk, diabetes, various immunological disorders, metabolic disorders and micronutrient deficiencies.  We also know that certain pharmaceuticals decrease the amount of nutrients in your body, and we can monitor effective supplementation.

Heavy Metal and Solvent Toxicity Testing

Heavy metals have been linked to a multitude of conditions including cancer, heart, kidney, neurological disease and much more. Heavy metals are depurated through chelators including but not limited to DMPS, CaEDTA, and DMSA. Chelation is the only effective way to remove heavy metals due to the fact they are bioaccumulative and build up in the body with each exposure and have very long half lives.

Human Reconstruction offers advanced testing to determine the levels of heavy metal toxicity in your body. We offer an effective heavy metal chelation program that will safely and effectively remove the toxins from your body.

Neurotransmitter Testing from NeuroScience

Do you experience?

  • Stress
  • Low mood, mood swings
  • Inability to pay attention
  • Anxiousness, irritability, agitation, tension, panic attacks
  • Difficulty concentrating, focusing or remembering
  • Sleep disturbances or difficulties
  • Headaches
  • Fatigue, lack of energy
  • Weight issues, food cravings

NeuroScience tests the level of your brain chemicals, called neurotransmitters. Everyone self medicates to some degree or other.  Some people are addicted to food, others exercise, some are sex addicts and others can’t function without their morning marijuana.  All these activities alter brain chemistry into a range where people feel normal.  Cigarettes, for example, contain nicotine, which functions as a reset button for the nervous system, and is so addictive because it is a very effective drug to manage anxiety, pain and depression.  Exercise raises endorphin levels and makes you feel energized and in a better mood because of the effect on the brain.  We assess your neurotransmitter levels, and use herbs, supplements and other means to balance them naturally, so you are no longer a slave to addictions.

We can also look at the rhythmic release of cortisol to address adrenal function when investigating cases of fatigue or insomnia, and get an idea of sex hormone levels from NeuroScience.
