I had high blood pressure and my NMD gave me some great ideas for diet and exercise that helped me to lower it. Now my blood pressure stays in the normal range for my age. It may also have been the supplements that he said I should take. Those supplements must be really good, because I’ve tried medications through a conventional medical doctor but found I had side effects from them.
I have already referred friends and relatives to Dr. Heather and Dr. Ryan. They spend the time with you to find out what the real cause of your health problem is. They have a great medical facility and the environment there is so relaxing compared to the offices of most MDs. I’ve been a patient to many medical doctors, and when I compare the style of medicine and the attention and care that I receive when I go to my NMD, there’s really no comparison. My previous MD spent about 15 minutes with me, gave me a prescription which I had a reaction to and I had to stop taking the medication. My current NMD spent a full hour with me and gives me all kinds of great ideas to get healthy and stay that way.
As for what I would say to a friend that was looking for a doctor: I would tell them that the health care that my NMD practices is the kind of health care that can prevent getting illnesses and diseases. The, if they already have a chronic illness or disease that I would tell them that my NMDs know how to treat disease using natural means and would only use medications and surgery as a last resort. They believe in treating the cause of illness and disease rather than just the symptoms so the treatment is much more likely to be successful for the long-term. MDs usually only treat the symptoms so this is usually a band aid approach to what may become a serious health problem. – Harvey M.
