Winter Detox Recommendations

Detoxification is the perfect way to ring in 2013.

Different people need different detoxification depending on your lifestyle, health status, and personal preferences.  For examply, we offer heavy metal detoxification and chelation therapies at Human Reconstruction; we recommend them for anyone with auto-immune disease, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, neurological problems, and infertility.  We also recommend it for women who are planning to get pregnant, and want to lower the likelihood of their children having autism, ADHA and allergies.

However, if you want a simple plan to help clean your body of everyday toxins we accumulate from our food, toiletries, and even breathing, we offer simple plans to help your body work optimally.  Detoxification has been shown to help with many chronic diseases, and can increase weight loss.

Some simple recommendations you can do at home include:

  • Detoxification tea: Most grocery stores sell one type or another, they don’t taste that great, but can support your liver and kidneys to detoxify.
  • Epsom salt baths at night: 1 cup of epsom salts in very hot water (to your tolerance, of course, not hot enough to burn you) and sweat for at least 20 minutes.  Be sure to drink lemon water while in the bath.  This bath will not only help you eliminate toxins, but it will make you sleep better, and help with muscle soreness and body aches.
  • Cardio Exercise to increase blood flow and sweating.
  • Eat at least 8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.  Please visit http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/summary/ for information on which fruits and vegetables need to be bought organically due to their high pesticide contents.
  • Drink at least 1oo oz of water a day.  Remember,
  • Have a cup of green tea every day.
  • Don’t eat processed foods, wheat, dairy, corn, eggs or soy during your detoxification.
  • Drink Whey protein before bed.  This will help deepen your sleep, increase growth hormone production, and increase your own natural production of anti-oxidants.

Winter is a regenerative time of the year, and we recommend personalized programs, both elaborate and simple, to support your body, energy, sleep, detox and weight loss.

Please contact us for specials we are offering for the month of January on our personalized detoxification protocols.
